KOALAS

Koalas are marsupial mammals which look like small bears. They live in Australia. Their sweet, small fur and  their big eyes give koalas very characteristic features.

They generally feed with eucalyptus leaves as they live in these trees.

The small koala weighs 5.3g at birth, next it weighs 450g when he's 4 months old. Finally, when he's grown up (about 4years old) he weighs 9kg and he's 60cm tall.

The baby koala begins to leave his mother's marsupial pocket when he's 5 months. Next, he becomes hairy but he keeps on drinking his mother's milk.

Koalas are lonely and nocturnal, they spend all their time sleeping in a tree where they lie.
