The story

I've chosen a film about dancing. It's about a girl who hasn't got a father because he left her when she was a child. So she lives with her mother. But one day, the girl goes to be auditioned as a ballet dancer, she wants her mother to come with her but her mum has got a lot of work so she quarrels with her daughter. The girl goes by train and her mother goes by car. On the way she drives too fast so she has an accident and she dies. when the girl learns the news, she wants to give up dancing. After losing her mother, she goes into her father's flat. She studies in a school where there are a lot of black people but she is white. At first, it is very difficult for her but she meets a black boy and they fall in love. He studies medicine and he decides to teach her hip-hop and he helps her to come back to the audition. She dances very well she is very happy and so is her boy-friend.

My choice

I've chosen this film because I like dancing and I think it's a beautiful story. When I went to the cinema to see it, it made me cry because the mother died in a terrible accident but thanks to what happened to her, the girl fell in love with a beautiful boy.

In this film there are three main characters Sarah (Julia Stilles), Sarah's father (Terry Kinney), and Sarah's boy friend, Dereck (Sean Patrick Thomas). The director is Thomas Carter.
