THE LORD OF THE RINGS

We are going to speak about “The Lord of the Rings”, the film. That’s a movie by PETER JACKSON but inspired from the novel by J.R.R. TOLKIEN.

There are three films:

I/ The Fellowship of the Ring:

The story: Sauron, a dark knight, made a ring. This ring is the worst of all and it’s the unique ring. When Sauron has got it, he is very strong and he can beat about 20 persons just with his weapon. But a clean knight , Isildur, cut Sauron's finger where there was the ring. So he took it and he was very strong like its creator. But Isildur lost it and a very strange man, Gollum/Smeagol ( Andy Serkis) got it back. But he lost it too. Bilbo, the hobbit, got it back too and then he gave it to his nephew: Frodo (Elijah Wood). He must destroy it in the fire of Mordor but he can’t do that alone. So all the races want to help him. They did a fellowship with a knight,  Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), a dwarf, Gimli (John Rhys-Davies), an elf, Legolas (Orlando Bloom), a magician, Gandalf (Sir Ian McKellen), 3 hobbits, Sam, Pippin and Merry (Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Bernard Hill), a knight of the gondor, Boromir (Sean Bean), and of course Frodo.

 

 

II/ The Two Towers:

They travelled to ordor but they had to help the Rohan because a dark magician, Sarouman (Christopher Lee), did an army of 10 000 soldiers to destroy all the humans and to get the ring back . That was the battle of Helmdeep. The good side won.

 

 

 

 

 

III/ The Return of the King:

The fellowship did their objective and they destroyed the ring in the fire of Mordor. There was a final battle : Minas Tirith. And the good side won, of course.
