In 1908, Mills Converse created the Converse company : at the beginning they sold only sport clothes but a little after they began to sell shoes or other objets.

In 2003, Nike bought the company.

On the little cards which are sold with the shoes, we can see a man who's called Chuck Taylor. He was a basketball player. He was born in 1901. In 1918, he bought his first Converse shoes ; he liked Converse very much so he was inspired and he had a lot of ideas to make other Converse shoes, so he gave his ideas to the Converse company.

The Weapon	The Jack Purcell

The All Star was created in 1918, the Weapon in 1980 (for basketball), the One Star in 1970 and the Jack Purcell was created in 1975 (Jack Purcell was a world champion of badminton).
Converse company make not only shoes, they make a lot things too (such as wallets, belts, jackets, T-shirt, socks, ...).
